At Dog Scout, I specialise in training and behaviour support for adolescent dogs (typically 6 months+). That’s the stage where many owners start to feel out of their depth.

But here’s the good news: the best adolescent training starts earlier.

Puppy Prep is a short, structured package of private sessions designed to help you:

  • handle the most common puppy challenges with confidence
  • prevent unwanted habits becoming established
  • build calm foundations that make everything easier later

Most puppy parents need help with some combination of house training, biting/nipping, chewing and over-excitement and that’s exactly what we’ll focus on.

Dog Scout is force-free and rewards-based. Training is calm, practical and kind, with a focus on real-life progress (not perfection).

Puppy Prep – 2 Sessions | £195

Two private sessions to help you handle the most common puppy challenges and feel confident you’re on the right track.
Includes:

  • 2 x 60-minute private sessions
  • support with house training, biting/nipping, unwanted chewing and over-excitement
  • clear, practical guidance tailored to your puppy and home

Perfect if you want: a calm plan, better routines, and fewer “what do I do now?” moments.

Puppy Prep – 3 Sessions | £285

Three private sessions for extra support and progression, ideal if you’re feeling overwhelmed or want stronger foundations before adolescence.
Includes:

  • 3 x 60-minute private sessions
  • everything in the 2-session package, plus additional troubleshooting and progression
  • extra help building calm behaviour and consistency between sessions

Perfect if you want: more support, more confidence, and more time to practise and troubleshoot.

Both Puppy Prep options include:

  • my Puppy Prep Booklet (a comprehensive, step-by-step guide you’ll keep and refer back to) plus
  • a Puppy Kong toy to support calm enrichment and settled routines at home. So you’re supported between sessions, not just during them.
